• When California attacked critical, low-cost pesticides used every day by Nebraska farmers—Mike led the charge against California’s efforts.
• When the Biden Administration tried to eliminate beef from its dietary guidelines, a radical decision that would have had an enormous impact on Nebraska’s beef industry—Mike led the coalition to stop them.
• When the Biden Administration continued to drag its feet and not implement the year-round sale of E-15 gasoline—Mike led the coalition in court to force Biden to follow the law.

Defended Low-Cost Energy

• When Omaha public power made the decision to decommission critical natural gas and coal-powered power plants—Mike sued them to stop an action which would simply have raised prices on Nebraska families.
• When the Biden Administration escalated its war on coal, which would have increased prices for Nebraska families—Mike sued to stop him.
• When major companies tried to collude to support a radical ESG agenda and increase the price of American energy—Mike led the coalition against them.
• When private equity tried to gain significant control of American utilities—Mike took action to stop them.

Safeguarded Nebraska’s Children

• Fought for Nebraska’s children by stopping the Biden Administration’s attempt to force boys into girls' sports.
• Successfully defended the state’s ban on transgender surgeries for minors, beating the ACLU and Planned Parenthood in front of the Nebraska Supreme Court.
• Sued TikTok and Facebook for misleading parents on content shown to their children.
• Successfully defended Nebraska’s 12-week limit on abortion.

Stopped The Radical And Potentially Disastrous Effort To Transform The Nation’s Trucking Fleet

One of the most radical efforts over the last 10 years has been the effort to transform the nation’s trucking fleet from one that is powered by diesel trucks to one run by electric semi-trucks.

This effort was one of the most short-sighted policies of modern times and would have had a dramatic impact on Nebraskans—increasing the price of goods, wiping out jobs, and devastating rural communities.

Mike led and won a three-front war to defeat this effort:

• He sued California’s effort to impose the regulation on trucking fleets. California settled with Nebraska and backed down.
• He sued the Biden Administration’s effort to mandate these trucks. That mandate is now dead.
• He sued the four major trucking manufacturers, alleging that they colluded to force this change on the market. Mike filed the lawsuit in North Platte, and the four manufacturers settled.

Mike’s victory was recognized nationally as a major win for common sense and for American communities.

Stood Firm on Immigration

• As President Trump has tried to reverse the damage caused by unchecked illegal immigration, time and again Mike has stood with the President and supported their efforts.
• When the Biden Administration tried to give taxpayer benefits to illegal aliens—Mike sued to stop them.
• Mike helped lead a coalition that sued the Biden Administration—and won—stopping its attempt to give illegal immigrants who work in agricultural jobs more rights than American citizens.4

Preserving Nebraska’s Water Rights

• Sued Colorado in the United States Supreme Court for violating Nebraska’s rights to water from the South Platte River.
• Defeated the Biden Administration’s attempt to radically expand its ability to regulate Nebraskans’ use of water on their own property.

Investigated, Prosecuted, and Fought Against Illegal Election Interference

• Mike prosecuted and secured felony convictions for election fraud.
• Mike prosecuted and secured felony conviction for falsification of ballot petitions.
• When significant fraud was uncovered with one of the ballot initiatives, Mike’s team investigated and sued to hold those wrongdoers accountable.
• Mike filed a landmark lawsuit against a web of dark-money groups that helped funnel millions of dollars tied to foreign nationals seeking to pass far-left ballot initiatives.
• Mike stood with President Trump’s common sense efforts to uncover voter fraud and their efforts to have clean and accurate voter rolls.
• Mike helped lead a coalition to stop the Biden Administration’s attempt to use federal dollars to an unlawful and political voter registrations scheme.

Supported Law Enforcement

• In one of his first major actions as Attorney General, Mike ensured that State Patrol and their retirees withheld benefits via a settlement in a 12-year lawsuit against the state.
• Mike visited law enforcement in each of the 93 counties in his first year, has hosted regional law enforcement round tables, and deepened law enforcement relationships around the state.
• Launched the first-of-its-kind recruiting website, securethegoodlife.nebraska.gov, to help recruit and retain the next generation of law enforcement officials in Greater Nebraska.
• Opened the first office west of Lincoln in the office’s history, hiring a seasoned prosecutor and investigators for its new office in Ogallala.
• Helped local prosecutors around the state prosecute murders and child sexual assaults.
• Held the first “Blue Line Family Bash,” a community event to support law enforcement and their families.

Defended 2nd Amendment Rights

• Sued the Biden Administration for trying to stop law-abiding Americans from selling their guns privately and on their attempt to go after pistol brace owners.
• Joined other states in encouraging the passage of a federal conceal carry reciprocity resolution.
• Issued a legal opinion supporting lawful gun owners in Omaha and Lincoln against the unlawful regulations passed those cities.
• In courtrooms around the country, Mike supported expansive and historically correct interpretations of the Second Amendment—helping to ensure that Nebraskans can protect themselves and their families.

Kept Nebraska Communities Safe

• Achieved the largest sentencing in a sex trafficking case in state history.
• Expanded the office’s human trafficking efforts, including adding more investigators, training more citizens, adding a sophisticated computer tracking system, and organizing the first-of-its-kind human trafficking summit.
• Successfully prosecuted all manner of criminals, from corrupt public officials, to murders, to those committing sexual assault and attacking kids.
• Waged one of those most extensive statewide campaigns in the country against those selling mislabeled or poisonous THC products.
• Went after unscrupulous medical professionals—including those who stole drugs, did their work under the influence, or otherwise violated the public’s trust—stripping them of their licenses.

Protected Consumers

• Took aggressive action against robocallers and text spammers.
• Recovered millions of dollars for Nebraska consumers, including one Nebraska family who had lost their entire life savings.
• Filed major lawsuits against fraudsters who ripped off Nebraskans.
• Filed the first-of-its-kind national lawsuit against the largest health company in the United States for exposing most of Nebraskans’ health information and harmed rural hospitals and small medical providers.
• Took on some of the biggest companies in the country for hurting or deceiving customers.

Led Against Communist China

• Led major lawsuits against CCP-aligned companies like TikTok, Temu, and Lorex for hiding security and privacy concerns that come with the purchase of their products that ultimately mislead Nebraskans.

Stood Against The Left’s Ideological Crusades

• Mike took a stand against companies who tried to enforce illegal DEI practices.
• Mike challenged the American Bar Association for trying to implement DEI practices that are inconsistent with a race-blind society.

Working To Help The Battle Against Rising Mental Health Issues

• Developed and passed an innovative pilot program to help give those having a mental health crisis the care they need before they hurt themselves or others.
• Went to battle with the companies and services who are helping to fuel mental health issues, from unscrupulous sellers of synthetic THC, to the scourge of aggressive social media algorithms, Mike is working to turn the tide.
